The IT Support Specialist maintains the infrastructure required for normal service provisioning required by LCO operations. Provide end user support and training, and solve technical issues as they arise.
Job Duties
-Provide level 1 technical support to end users for hardware, software and associated services as email, phone and videoconferencing.
-Train end users on hardware and software functionality, develop and maintain associated end user documentation.
-Install, configure and maintain IT equipment assigned to end users enforcing predefined software standards and maintain updated inventory registers.
-Support maintenance of general IT infrastructure as fiber and UTP cabling, as well as equipment and servers rooms related infrastructure.
-Provide support on install and basic configuration of networking, servers, telephony, access control and video surveillance hardware.
-Provide technical support to WordPress based websites and develop and maintain required plugins when required.
-Maintain records of activities via associated internal tracking systems.
-Other tasks requested by the direct supervisor.
Skill Requirements
-Técnico en Conectividad y Redes
-Knowledge on Desktop operating systems as Windows, Linux and OSX
-Knowledge on End User hardware maintenance including Laptop, Desktop, Printers and Voip.
-Knowledge on structured cabling systems, installation of UTP and FIber Optic.
-Basic knowledge on Networking and Servers hardware and software.
-Basic knowledge on electricity.
-Knowledge on HTML/ CSS/JavaScript and LAMP stack.
-Knowledge on WordPress administration and plugin development.
-Class B Driver License
